Landscape Paintings

Today we worked on our landscape paintings, made in response to the LaSalle lecture we held here at the Cultural Arts Center last week. Sacred Heart Volunteers

Today we had some great volunteers from Sacred Heart come help us make costumes for Halloween. In photos: Pietro, Rasheed, George, Hector and the Sacred Heart volunteers.

La Salle Lecture I

Today we had our first lecture on Painting and Landscapes by La Salle University Art Museum's Miranda Clark-Binder. We will be making our own landscape paintings next week and will go on a tour to see the paintings first-hand in a few weeks in our new program Cultural Collaborations.

Winterthur Trip

We visited the Winterthur Museum in Delaware on Wednesday. We enjoyed looking at antique furniture, ceramics and a collection of portraits from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In photos: Mike G., Stanley, Mike S., Rasheed, Charles, Murph, Jason and Pietro.

Charlene's drawings

Charlene made these wonderful oil pastel drawings today of a witch, a big cat, a house, a little cat and her mother.

B-Ball Outside of School

Schuylkill Environmental Center

We had a wonderful time visiting the Schuylkill Environmental Center last week. We hiked through the Wissahickon on a sunny summer's day and saw butterflies, frogs, cicadas and had great tours led by Kim and Gin from the Center.
