Pals for Life











Yesterday we were so happy to have Pals for Life come visit us. We got to meet Taffy the rabbit, Grace the retriever, and a black and white kitten. In photos: Kelvin, Jason, Sarah, Emilia all petting Grace, Kay and Hector, Mike, Taffy the rabbit and Charles, the kitten Kashi, David, and Mike S.

Building a Time Machine

Mexican Fiesta















We ended our month of studying Mexico with a bang today. Emilia worked on a homemade paper mache pinata filled with lollipops and Sarah made everyone virgin strawberry margaritas. Next month's country: China.

Jewelry Workshop

National Constitution Center





Today we visited the National Consitution Center in downtown Philadelphia. We learned about the history of our country, used voting machines and even got to experience what it's like to be inaugurated. In photos: Emilia, Hector, Daniel, Stanley and George.

Mural Arts Community Paint Day










This Saturday we hosted a Mural Arts Community Paint Day. Around 40 people helped paint three panels of "This We Believe," which will be on view at 30th Street Station and Market-East Station later this summer. Ceramics









We've been working hard on handbuilding and tile-making in the Wednesday ceramics class with Brenda. In photos: George works on a Greek influenced piece, Mike uses organic impressions in clay, Myron and James enjoy flattening clay slabs, and Rasheed rolls out two hunks at a time!
