Discovery Club
We have started a new program of afternoon clubs at the Cultural Arts Center. Today we had our first meeting of the Science Club. We made oobleck, a fluid that behaves like a solid when force is applied to it.

Holiday Open House at PDDC
This week the Cultural Arts Center's artist-in-residence Dwayne Boone presented one of his paintings to Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Chris Gocong and his wife Mandy at our Holiday Open House. Then Dwayne received a surprise gift from the Gocongs: a personalized Eagles jersey. We created the winter wonderland decorations that helped to make this event so special.

Ofrenda
Today we began our ofrenda in honor of the Day of the Dead. We will be celebrating the Day of the Dead by making notes and pictures of people we miss, like Michael Jackson, Patrick Swayze and Murph's dog Sadie. Our ofrenda will feature papel picados, lights, fake fruit and flowers.
